You can control the shutter of your camera automatically with Sony Remote, Canone EOS Utiliy or Capture One. If you have a camera that does not support wired shutter cables you can choose the kit with the USB-controller. If you plan to use the QOOL also outdoors we recommend to add the tripod mount plate and if needed the square arca swiss quick release system to your order. A 12V power supply is included in this kit but you can also use a Li-Ion battery pack to operate the rail for example outdoors. All settings are done with the remote controller and can be saved. The included IR controller works as stand alone. For higher magnifications and absolute precision you should look for the Ultra Rail Series. It is recommended up to 50X and but we have some customers who are working up to 100x magnification with the Qool Rail. The minimum step size for this rail with 2mm pitch screw is 0.078125 μm (yes, it's really μm, so 0.000078125 mm) with the IR Controller, but practical step size is 0.3125 μm as we do not have equipment to test further.
